I’ve been absent from writing this blog for more than a month. I’ve been kinda busy with my employment practices in a shoe manufacturing company and writing my report about it.

The employment practices was fun. I didn’t do a lot of work and I think I came to the factory only about 10 times. The rest of those days were spent in my house where I do all those data processing. The best part of that experience was the fact that I knew how they make those canvas shoes. You know, that Converse type shoes but at the company they didn’t make Converse shoes, they made Levi’s shoes.

I can see the processes starting from how they mix rubber ingredients for the sole until they pack the shoes and to be honest they’re not that sophisticated. It’s just a group of simple processes that involve so many people. And one other crazy thing is that the production cost of a pair of shoe is just about $9.00. Check your local shoe store to see the price tag they put on those shoes.

Anyway, what I was doing there was trying to balance their sewing line. They have a low line balance percentage and I was trying to make it better so they improve their line productivity. This song is actually a nice song but I have to admit it was kinda hard for me to enjoy the song the first time I heard it. Don’t know exactly why. Maybe it’s just because the song has a very different feel from the first single, Nightmare. I enjoy Nightmare very much and I think when I was served with something different from it, I needed a little mood adjustment. But now I am starting to see the greatness of the song. The lyrics, the guitar works, the drums, and everything else in the song.

They did a great job!
I really can’t wait for the full album.

As I’ve told you before, Avenged Sevenfold will be releasing their newest album titled Nightmare. According to the news, the release date is July 27th, 2010.

The first single of the album has the same title as the album and it is Nightmare. The band has finished filming the music video for the single and scheduled to be released on July 17th, 2010. They have also released some teasers of the music video. I don’t know for sure but something tells me that these guys love to make their fans a little curious about the new album and everything connected to it. But that’s okay because all I know all Avenged Sevenfold fans are enjoying the torment. Haha!

Happy 29th Birthday!!

So earlier today, I watched an episode of How I Met Your Mother the 3rd season of the TV series. It was the 15th episode titled “The Chain of Screaming”. I’ll talk more about the series later, tonight I’ll just talk about my discovery.

As I watch, well actually I was just starting the timer showed 00:28, I found this scene where Ted told Lilly, Robin, and Barney that he bought a car. As Barney and Robin argued about the ‘eternal shotgun’ rule, Marshall came from the back being stressed out and just wanting a beer. That was not the awesome part but there was where I found the awesome thing. I’ll just put a screen capture of the scene here and see if you can see what I see.

I literally jumped off my seat when I found that out and called my brother to see it. What are the odds of seeing those posters up there? In a scene of a TV Series? It’s just an awesome discovery. I’m telling you one thing, Avenged Sevenfold is taking over the world!

Time flies so fast. I really can’t believe that it’s already six month since the world lost such an awesome drummer, Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan.

Rest in Peace, mate. You’ll be sorely missed.

I’m a guitar player, well still studying though, and I love hard rock and metal musics. Like every other subjects that caught many people’s attention, there’s surely a magazine that will give you any information you need to know about the subject. And in my case, they’re guitar magazines and hard rock/metal magazines. Another thing about me I don’t enjoy my local music that much. I know people are saying to love your own country’s product, but that just doesn’t work for me in the terms of music. So every magazine that I want to buy and worth reading is printed in the US or the UK, such as Revolver, Metal Hammer, Guitar World, etc.

There’re some places in Jakarta that sell those magazines but like what I’ve said before they cost me a fortune. So I hit google and tried to find an online store that sells import magazines. And lucky me I found one. It’s called…

They have a nice collection of Revolver Magazines and Guitar World and also they charged reasonable price. Plus, you don’t have to pick up the magazines because they’ll deliver it to you. I’ve bought the last month’s Revolver Issue that is covering about the 2010 Revolver Golden Gods Awards and paid Rp 55.000,- (normal price: Rp 98.000,-) for it. And now I’m in the middle of ordering this month’s issue covering about the Mayhem Festival with Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) as the cover and paying Rp 50.000,- (normal price: Rp 98.000,-).

Great deal huh?
I really believe that this is the new place for me to buy my magazines. The website is always updated so I’m not going to miss any issue, they have great prices, and the magazines will be delivered. Just one more little problem, up until today they didn’t have any Metal Hammer. God, I really wish they’ll try to sell Metal Hammer soon because I’m still stuck on that magazine. I can’t even find a bookstore that sell it here. They got a really nice issue with Avenged Sevenfold on the cover and also an interview with the band.

I heard this song for the first time in a movie called Norbit played by Eddie Murphy. No, you won’t find it in the main movie. You’ll only hear it when the credits roll at the end of the movie. It’s kinda funny how I can stumble upon a good song in an uncommon place.

But I think now I can change how I see peace when I find a new meaning of the word. I’m not really sure who said it but it really inspires me. Here’s what the quote sounds like.

As you can see above, peace was not meant to be a situation where everything is OK around you. Peace is a situation where even though chaos surrounds you, you still feel calm inside your heart.

I really believe that this is the true meaning of peace. Wars, robbery, killings, and other bad things will never stop happening. You just can’t stop that. The only day where those thing will stop is when God come to this world for the second time and rule the world. But even though bad things are happening around you, if you stay calm inside your heart you’ll be in peace.

I’ve been dreaming to have some of the items above. As a huge Avenged Sevenfold fan, I think it would be cool to have a special room in my own house where I can put all of those things for display. Kinda impossible, stupid, and funny but as they say put your dreams as high as you can because someday they might come true.
